In two of the biggest "new seasons" of life, friends and family are there to lend a helping hand....When you get engaged, people throw you a bridal shower. You get many great items you need and somethings you just really want. It is the beginning of your new life together and, traditionally, will be the first time you are living on your own so you NEED many items from bath towels to pots and pans and a trash can!
A few years pass and a baby is on the way. Again friends and family help you out with another party, showering you with cute outfits and diapers in every size to try and help alleviate the financial burden a new life can cause, as well as celebrate the great joy a new life brings!

I really enjoy bridal and baby showers. I am delighted to help out a friend in these new seasons of life and am thankful for those who helped us out so much in the beginning of our marriage.
Our Provider has been faithful in giving us many items we need with no cost to us. For example, last c-mas my grandparents bought Brian a really nice winter jacket for all the cold and windy days we'll endure in country and this summer a friend of mine gave me a winter jacket that was barely used and was EXACTLY what I was looking for! Isn't He so good to us?
We continue to trust Him to provide our needs as we are in the middle of selling our house (prayerfully closing will happen on September 26!!), applying for visas (this process could be easier) buying tickets (an easy but pricey ordeal) and raising the last of our 'income' (of which we still need $800 a month in pledged support for the bare essentials plus emergency money.) Your prayers are greatly appreciated in all of this!
I say all this to ask a favor...
Brian and I are beginning a new season of life in a place that is rated one of the toughest countries to live. Brian and I want to live as much like the nationals as possible but know that for good morale having somethings that will make our days a little easier to get through is important. In addition, there are some things you just can't find that make cooking, or teaching (both of which I'll be doing a lot of) easier and gives more room for creativity both in the kitchen and classroom!
Because I know how much joy it brings me to be able to help a friend in need, or just to celebrate with them a new season of life (i.e. the bridal and baby showers) I thought I would give you all the chance to know a little more of our needs. I just can't tell you how many people have told us to let them know if there was anything they could help with and this is one of those things! So here is, do with it what you will, please know that ANYTHING will help us a lot.
Wishlist.com allows you to grab pictures form any site online to create a registry of sorts of items you need. It also helps you see where you can find an item at the lowest price. I used it to create a list of items we need for our move and new life abroad. We have tickets for September 26, so if you do purchase an item it would be nice to have no later than Sept 21.
Here is how it works: go to http://wishlist.com/ on the first page type in Kelleigh Macevicius under "Give the perfect wish" on the new page click on our name and picture, this will take you to a new page where you can click on "view this Wishlist" which will take you to our list of items. If there is something you want to buy you can click "reserve then buy" and you can buy it right then or get it later in the store. Most things can be purchased at walmart so to save on shipping it'd be best to buy in store. Reserving it just insures we don't get more than what we need. Most of the items say things like "brand doesn't matter" it is just an item we need, like a can opener just keep in mind weight, the lighter an item the better!

here is an example of an item we don't NEED but it would be nice to have. It would save us money to not have to buy new dishes as they cost more there. These are light weight as well as bright and cheery and match the 'nautical' theme I'm going for in our new home. 
a rust proof mildew resistant shower curtain is an example of something we NEED and will not be able to find AT ALL there (regardless of being rust and mildew proof!)
